One of the most common items we fabricate are tanks. They can be created in many different shapes and sizes as large as 20,000 gallons.

We specialize in plastic, chemical mixing, and high temp tank fabrication using PVC, CPVC, PPH, PPC, HDPE, PVDF and more for a number of industries and applications. Our experienced engineers will work with your staff to determine the best material and design criteria for your application.

The segmented tank pictured at right is approximately 6 feet deep and over 10 feet in diameter. Each section is watertight to the next one and is used in a sophisticated chemical treatment of industrial components. Parts are moved from one section to the next via robots at high speed. From design to fabrication, our experts can assist with creating custom tanks for your unique application.

Completed Projects

High Temp CPVC Tank

High Temp CPVC Tank

CPS is a certified Corzan CPVC Key Industrial Fabricator. Our fabricators have gone through rigorous training to achieve this honor and as a result, there's no better company to make CPVC tanks like the one pictured above
Heavy Duty Barrel Plating Tank

Heavy Duty Barrel Plating Tank

The polypropylene tank pictured above is used in a barrel plating application and is over 40 feet long! It has steel girth bands for strength that are completely encapsulated in plastic to prevent corrosion damage. Each of the brackets pictured supports a motor, plating barrel and parts that weigh in excess of 650 pounds each. We have extensive experience in building tanks designed to withstand the severe mechanical and chemical stress of the plating industry.
Bulk Material Tank

Bulk Material Tank

This cone bottom tank stands over 7 feet tall and is nearly 6 feet in diameter. Completely rolled in house, it has steel sleeved legs for support and is constructed from HDPE-PE-100.

Tank Material Selection

Tank Material Selection Once you've identified that you need a tank, you have to determine the right material to make that tank from. Sounds simple, but we have seen countless examples of "the other guy" selling a tank made from the wrong material for the job. Not to worry, we make repairs to "the other guy's" tanks all the time. But, you can avoid that problem by counting on Chicago Plastic Systems' entire team to help you make the right decision. With our extensive technical experience and the support of the biggest raw material suppliers in the world, you can rest assured that your tank will last for many years. Contact us today to discuss the chemicals in use, temperature, the size of the tank, environmental considerations, support types and any other data we can use to reccomend the right specifications for your application.

Slurry Mixing Tanks

Slurry Mixing Tanks

The tank shown here is used to mix slurry for flue gas desulfurization in a steel mill. With a capacity of 500 gallons, it has a reinfoced top to facilitate installation of a special mixer designed for the viscosity of the product.
Work Station Tanks

Work Station Tanks

Pictured at left is one of many work station tanks we built for a metal finishing company. Workers move parts from station to station and soak in different chemicals to achieve the desired effect. Each compartment must be water-tight to the next to prevent the chemicals from mixing.
Containment Pans

Containment Pans

We make many different types of containment pans. Common applications are tank spill containment, drip pans under equipment, battery acid trays, and condensate pans. Our drip pans are corrosion resitant and help you keep your corrosive liquids from becoming a safety or housekeeping problem.

Tank Damage

Tank Repairs

Have a leaking tank? Did your operator drive a fork lift into it? We'll come to your site and repair your fabricated or molded tank. Anywhere. No matter why it's leaking. To find out more about our repairs and installations click here.
Tank Liners

Tank Liners

Many tanks made from metal, concrete, or fiberglass use a plastic liner. We build and install these liners from all the tank materials we work with. Sometimes a liner can extend the life of an older tank as well, but be aware that liners must be properly engineered to avoid expansion and contraction issues that can cause leaks.
Molded Tanks

Molded Tanks

CPS can supply and install molded tanks made from HDPE and PP. We can also modify these tanks to add inlets, drains, vents and acess doors. Contact us to discuss your molded tank needs today.
