Fabricators for centuries have utilized surface finishes to improve the appearance, performance, usability, and testing of metals. These coatings are often applied as liquids or semi-liquids, which will need to be contained for dipping and plating activities or collected from spaying and cleaning operations.

Improve your metal finishing capabilities with high-performance chemical process tanks from Chicago Plastic Systems, the industrial thermoplastic fabrication leader. Leveraging innovative design capabilities with premium materials and highly trained fabricators, we can manufacture tanks designed to perform optimally in any industrial process or environment.

Material

At Chicago Plastic Systems, we fabricate process tanks of all sizes and shapes from a range of chemical- and corrosion-resistant plastics. While our team can source any plastic product for our customers, the types they use most often for process tank fabrication include:

  • Polypropylene, or Polypro
  • Polyvinyl chloride, also called PVC
  • Polyvinylidene fluoride, or PVDF
  • High-density polyethylene, also known as HDPE

Dedication to Quality

Dedication to delivering quality products to our customers on time and at an affordable price sets Chicago Plastic Systems apart from competitors. All corners of tanks we fabricate are CNC butt welded before being extrusion welded, ensuring a comprehensive seam through the plastic. This process also provides improved support and strength. Other techniques we use to create long-lasting process tanks include:

  • Corner plates provide reinforcement, when the design requires
  • Steel or plastic support can be added to tank sidewalls, eliminating flexing and stress

Welding Certifications

Every one of our welders is either certified by the American Welding Society and German Welding Society, or they are working towards that distinction while assisting already certified welders.

The German Welding Society, or DVS, is dedicated to education, training, qualification, and certification in the field of welding and related technologies, and the organization is the leader in thermoplastic fabrication techniques. Chicago Plastic Systems is proud to be the only thermoplastic fabrication facility in the United States with 100 percent of its welders either certified by or currently undertaking apprenticeships with the DVS.

Optimize your metal finishing capabilities with high-performance process tanks from Chicago Plastic Systems. With nearly three decades of experience, we can create a quality tank that will last, allowing you to finish strong.
