Type 1 & Type 2 PVC Fabrication
Polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, is a thermoplastic material that offers superior strength, chemical resistance, insulation, corrosion resistance and flexibility in an economical package. PVC is available in two basic forms: flexible and rigid. Type I is a widely used material with excellent corrosion and chemical resistance. Intended for general purpose and thermoforming applications, its characteristics include

Type I PVC

Type II PVC
Type II is available in a light grey color and shares many of the same properties as Type I PVC, but it has lower chemical resistance and can better withstand shocks or impacts. Applications that can benefit from Type II Rigid PVC include:
