PVDF Material

Polyvinylidene fluoride is a high-molecular-weight fluorocarbon with superior abrasion resistance, dielectric properties, and mechanical strength. Commonly called PVDF or by its trade name Kynar, it’s used in applications requiring the highest purity or those in need of resistance to solvents, acids, and bases. Characteristics of PVDF include:

PVDF is available from 1/2" to 6" in natural or red colors. The material maintains its mechanical and chemical resistance properties at temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s rigid and resistant to creep under mechanical stress and load as well as stable to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet radiation. In thin sections, such as films, filament, and tubing, PVDF is flexible and transparent. Typical applications that utilize PVDF include:
